Robert Andrews is a seasoned prosecutor running for Mahoning County Common Pleas Judge. With 33 years of experience in the courtroom, he has built a record of fair, firm, and principled decision-making for our community.

About Robert Andrews

Robert Andrews has spent 36 years practicing law, a career path sparked by a college interest in Constitutional Law and a long-term goal of serving on the bench. A 1986 graduate of Grove City College and a 1989 graduate of the Toledo University School of Law, Robert has focused the majority of his career on criminal justice and public service.

After five years with the Portage County Prosecutor’s Office and three years in private practice, he joined the Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office in 1999. Over his 33 years as an Assistant Prosecutor, Robert has handled more than 100 felony trials in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court, including 50 homicide cases. He believes this extensive trial experience is a necessary prerequisite for the position of Common Pleas Judge.

Robert’s personal life is rooted in the Mahoning Valley. He and his wife, Jeannie, have been married for 35 years and have two adult daughters, Megan and Caitlyn. His community involvement spans over two decades, including serving as an usher and Sunday School teacher at First Covenant Church. He also spent years as an board officer and coach for Boardman Community Baseball, coached for the Boardman Soccer Association, and volunteered at swim meets for the YMCA Neptunes, Firestone Area Swim Team, and Boardman Swim Club.

Robert views the transition to the bench as the natural next step in a career dedicated to the law. He offers Mahoning County a straightforward combination of veteran courtroom experience and a consistent history of local service.
